Job Specification – Higher Education Solutions Manager
ESRI is looking for an experienced and respected “thought leader” in GIS education to help ESRI create a more spatially aware world through interaction with the higher education communities around the world. The holder of this post will contribute to existing high level goals of the Higher Education Program at ESRI by:
• Promoting the vision of a spatially literate world
• Leading ESRI’s efforts to support and enable the academic community
• Helping ESRI design GIS solutions that meet the administrative, educational and research needs of academic communities
• Working with the academics to strengthen research efforts in spatial technologies
This will involve a wide range of activities including:
• Representing ESRI to the academic community at conferences, trade shows, and seminars
• Developing examples of best practices of using GIS in higher education
• Participating in academic initiatives on behalf of ESRI that contribute to the goals defined above
• Acting as a liaison to education organizations that share the same common values
