Dear CPGIS members,
Please accept our revised Call for Nominations. Thanks to those who have provided timely and constructive feedback and suggestion.
This is a call for CPGIS members to nominate or self-nominate members to hold positions in the following vacancies.
1) President (2017-2018)
- The President-Elect will work together with the CPGIS President (2016-2017), Xinyue Ye and other CPGIS officers and BOD members, and will start his or her presidential term in November 2017.
Note: this is the position previously announced as the Vice President, we have changed it to President (2017-2018), a.k.a. President-Elect (2016-2017) to reflect the convention in CPGIS election and operation.
2) Six seats on the BOD (2016 - 2018)
- Five regular BOD members, and
- One student BOD member
The six new members of the BOD are to fill the vacancies resulted from the departure of Yuqi Bai, T. Edwin Chow, Yan Liu, Xuelian Meng, Xun Shi, and Tao Tang who have made great contributions to our community and will complete their two-year term at the end of October 2016. To encourage participation from students, we are glad to add another student BOD member for this coming term.

- Eligibility: ALL and ONLY CPGIS members with paid membership can nominate, be nominated, and vote.
- Deadline: The deadline for nominations has been extended to Sunday, October 30, 2016 [23:59, (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)].
