The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (https://www.ce.ust.hk/) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology invites applications for a 4-year PhD programme starting as early as February 1, 2023.
We are seeking an energetic and independent PhD students who has at least one of the following background: Geographic Information science, Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, Computer Science, and Civil Engineering.
Preference will be given to those with the following relevant research experience: spatio-temporal data mining and social sensing, GeoAI, deep learning, computer vision, big data-driven urban studies, spatial econometrics.
This program offers full PhD scholarships (over HK$18,000/month). Outstanding candidates are recommended to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (approximately HK$27,100 per month).
