Describe:  The Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of Denver is hiring a tenure-track assistant professor with research and teaching expertise in remote sensing. The specialty area within remote sensing is open. We seek a faculty member that would specifically contribute to our GIScience programs, as well as our programs in geography, environmental science, and sustainability, where applicable. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake an active program of research that leads to publication in peer-reviewed scholarly outlets and the pursuit of external funding. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach introductory and advanced remote sensing courses, as well as other courses of interest, and supervise MA, MS, and Ph.D. students and undergraduate research projects. This is a 9-month faculty position that begins September 1, 2024.
