A postdoctoral researcher position is immediately available in the Department of Geography at The Ohio State University. The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in the interdisciplinary research on coupled natural and human systems, working on issues such as land-use/land-cover change, water and carbon dynamics, and forest ecosystem processes and functions. The initial appointment is for one year and can be extended for an additional two years depending on performance. The successful candidate should have (1) a Ph.D. in geography, environmental science, ecology, or related fields, (2) a solid background in remote sensing, ecosystem modeling, and spatial analysis, and (3) demonstrated potential for a strong publication record.
