Geoinformatics 2021 - CPGIS Annual Conference Keynotes

GeoInformatics 2021 (The 28th CPGIS Annual Conference) will be held on November 3-5, 2021 at the Jiangxi Normal University, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China, and with pre-conference during October 31 to November 2, 2021. The primary theme of this year’s conference is “GISciences for a resilient society”. Starting in the end of 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped our world in all aspects. Along with that pandemic, in recent years we have also witnessed and suffered devastating wildfires, floods, earthquakes, epidemics, and all sorts of humanitarian crises. Those catastrophic episodes cast unprecedented challenges to human societies around the globe. Harnessing spatial data and information in both physical and social dimensions, GISiences play an important role in recording, remediating, and recovering of our society from the pandemic and other disasters. Addressing the challenges we face and demonstrating the efforts we make, Geoinformatics 2021 particularly encourages topics related to post-pandemic society resilience and sustainable development. Other presentations regarding cutting-edge research on or related to broadly-defined geographic information sciences, technologies, and applications, are also welcome, as always.
