1. Introduction
The International Conference on Geoinformatics was initiated by the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Sciences (CPGIS) in 1992 and has held 32 conferences all over the world. This conference series has provided a unique forum for exchanging novel ideas and cutting-edge knowledge on geographic information sciences and technologies among GIScience professionals worldwide. The GIS Unit, Department of Geography, National University of Singapore (NUS), welcomes you to the 33rd International Conference on Geoinformatics (Geoinformatics 2026), which will be held during 19-22 July 2026, at University Town (UTown), NUS. The main theme of Geoinformatics 2026 is geo-innovations for a sustainable and resilient society. The conference will include thematic presentations, group discussions, paper competitions, special forums, etc. All the accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (to be EI indexed), with the option for invited papers to be published in partner journals.

3. Submission
We welcome submissions of either an abstract or a full paper via Easychair (https://easychair.org/my2/conference?conf=geoinformatics2026).
● Abstract is mainly a short documentation up to 300 words containing major information about the research, particularly the purpose, methodology, and conclusion.
● Full paper is a complete document of 6-8 pages that contains original research with innovations in the field of geographic information sciences and allied field, supported by rigorous methodology, experimental validation, and sound interpretation and discussion. The author(s) can choose to either submit to the conference proceeding published by IEEE GRSS or a special issue in a partner, peer-reviewed journal (pending approval).
– The template for the conference proceeding submission available here.
– The format for a submission to the peer-reviewed journal will follow that of the partner journal.
● The author(s) of an abstract will be notified if the abstract is accepted to be presented at the Conference.
● The author(s) of a full paper will be notified if the paper is accepted to be presented at the Conference, and if the paper is selected to be included in the EI‐indexed Conference Proceedings published by IEEE GRSS or special issues in a partner, peer-reviewed journal (pending for approval).
● If the authors whose papers have been selected for the IEEE proceedings are not able to attend the Conference, they must notify the Conference Organizers no less than three weeks before the Conference.
We also invite conference participants to get involved in organizing your own session(s). Please submit your session call to geobox14@nus.edu.sg before 2 March 2026.
