“Spatiotemporal Analysis of the Impact of COVID-19”

Background on the special issue:

As a once-in-100-years pandemic, COVID-19 is changing and reshaping the world. COVID-19 poses grand challenges to human society and drives us to invent new analytical tools to examine the spatiotemporal patterns of the complex system for theories, methodologies, and applications of interdisciplinary research.

This Special Issue is organized to capture such new development with a focus on the spatiotemporal analysis of the impact of COVID-19. The topics may include related theories, methodologies, data and applications. We are especially interested in research that can help understand the short-term and long-term impacts of COVID-19 on health, demographics, socioeconomics, environment, politics and other fields over space and time.

Submission procedures and deadlines:

The full paper should be submitted to Annals of GIS via its online submission system at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tagi before the submission deadline (January31, 2021). When submitting, use “Spatiotemporal Analysis of the Impact of COVID-19” to signify that the paper is part of this special issue so that it will receive special attention from the guest editors. This special issue is expected to be published in summer 2021.
