Kaifeng is a city full of history. It was the capital of seven dynasties. Most people grown up in China have heard of stories about Lord Bao (包公), Generals of the Yang’s (杨家将, 穆桂英…), Generals of the Hu’s (呼家将), Lu Zhishen(鲁智深), Yue Fei (岳飞), and Pan Renmei (潘仁美)... You can find their footprints or remains at Kaifeng.

After the conference, enjoy a three-day field trip (Jun. 23-25, 2013) if you are interested. There will be two routes to choose: 

Route 1: The Grand Canyon of Tihang Mountain （太行山大峡谷风光之旅）, which cover Yuntai Mountain (云台山), Taihang Mountain (太行山), Red Flag Canal (红旗渠) etc.

Route 2: Central China History Trip (中原文化之旅), will cover Shaolin Temple (少林寺), Longmen Grotto (龙门石窟), Xiaolangdi Dam (黄河小浪底大坝) etc.

These field trips will be organized by Kaifeng local travel agencies. The cost estimated for each route is RMB1600, including hotels, transportation, food, tickets and travel insurance.
