Presentations are encouraged to address issues such as climate change, precision medicine, urban mobility, crime analysis, migration, disaster, and environmental sustainability. A wide range of disciplines related to Geographic Information Sciences are invited, including: Geography, Cognitive science, Computer science, Engineering, Information science, Social science, Urban Planning, and among others.

The full registration fee covers:

Registration Refund Policy:

If participants cannot attend the conference due to a rejected visa application or other uncontrollable causes, the registration fee is partially refundable, excluding the credit card processing fee.

If you are not able to attend due to personal reasons, the registration fee is not refundable.

Visa to enter Australia:

You need a visa to enter Australia. The best way is to arrange a tourist visa through your travel agency.

If you need an invitation letter, use our formal acceptance letter, or please e-mail CPGIS2019@gmail.com the following: 1) your Date of Birth, 2) your Passport Number, 3) your detailed workplace address, and 4) the digital receipt showing that you have successfully paid for the registration fee.

Publications:

Submission and Acceptance:

Authors can choose to submit either an abstract or a poster. The acceptance of the abstract will be noticed after 15 days of the submission.

Students attending Best Student Paper Competition must submit a full-length paper. The submission procedure will be announced separately.

Special issues in peer-reviewed journals:

Selected papers in specific topics will also be published as conference special issues in two peer-reviewed journals: “Advancements of GIS in the New IT Era” at Annals of GIS and “Integrating Remote Sensing and Social Sensing” at Remote Sensing. Authors who are interested in submitting papers to the special issues are encouraged to contact two lead Guest Editors: Professor Changshan Wu (CPGIS President) at cswu@uwm.edu and Professor Xinyue Ye (Publication Committee Chair) at xye@njit.edu.

Field trips:

Field trips to explore the rich cultural and physical geography of Sydney, Australia will be arranged on July 4th to July 7th to expand your knowledge. Advance registration and a fee are required for field trips. Sign up early these fill quickly.
