Abstract:  Kriging method is a local estimate method of geostatistical techniques, which is widely used in the area of geological exploration and reserves estimation. Due to the complexity of the occurrence of the ore body, traditional Kriging method which estimates ore reserves only relies on an average variogram of the whole ore body; It is clearly that it does not give an accurate description of a complex 3-D distribution of the quality of the ore body. In this article, according to the geologists of geological structure, the cause of the ore body formation and the other professional knowledge, which give a prior expression of the occurrence of the whole ore, and then add artificial boundary condition based on the occurrence of ore body. When building 3-D quality distribution model of the ore body, we could append the parameters of occurrence, and depend on the actual direction of mineralized variation in the deposit to calculate the variogram, adapting the variation analysis of the spaces in any direction. And then in the process of constitute 3-D model, we are based on engineering experience and other reconnaissance means to get relevant results to add virtual drillings, so as to control the border of 3-D model effectively, and form 3-D model of quality distribution of the ore body accurately, we can use thematic maps to description the ore quality clearly, and it can generate the map of the ore body automatically. It is really important to mining for adapting to market changes and adjusting indicators of industrial in time. And it provides a decision support for Economic evaluation of the mine, the mine design, and the production management.
