Abstract:  the southwest area of Shandong province is located on the fracture zone connecting Shandong hills and north china plain. Since Holocene, affected by development of HUANGHE alluvial fan, ZHANGHE alluvial fan and HUTUOHE alluvial fan, a coastal lagoon was formed in the low-lying area of HUANGHE alluvial fan. Under the influence of the development of HUANGHE alluvial fan, climate change in north china and human activity, paleolakes in Shandong southeast area appeared in different levels of development and shapes in times of early Holocene , Holocene and late Holocene. Referring to the record information of lake terraces on 1 Ka.B.P and measuring spots of JIEDI, HUYAN, ZHAKOU, DOUMEN, and SHUIBA which could reflect geographic boundaries of the lakes, we are able to recover the geographic paleoenvironment of the lakes 1Ka.B.P.
